Pretha Shapa

As per Prashna marga, Gulika => Pretha of dead person.

Gulika in BK or 3,6,8,12 => Pretha shapa

Gulika (Gu) connected to
1. Ma => unnatural death (fire accident, death in war/fighting, death due to small pox...)
2. Sa => Death in misery/penury in a secluded place.
3. Rh => death by snake bite.
4 Watery sign => death by drowning.

Gu in Male sign => Male
Gu in 3H => brother, 4=> mother etc.

caste and age as per the sign (Need to study as all female signs are watery/earth => man can not die by drowning???? Also Brahmana = watery sign, does it mean others can not die by drowning)

REMEDIAL MEASURES

'anger' of pretas could bring about the death of children, sickness and poverty. To counteract such afflictions, shraddhas,
kshetra pindas, tilavahana, etc., should be carefully performed followed by the feeding of Brahmins.

My thoughts
During analysis of prashna chart related to business, if Gulika occupies 7H or conjunct 7L => Pretha shapa. Similarly 5H/5L while analyzing child birth.

Eg., Client visits for prashna related to business. Let the 1H=Leo. So 7H=Aq. Assume Gu in 7H. aspected by Mars. Let Gu be ruled by Sa-Rh-Ve. As Gu in Rh star => death by snake bite, as Gu aspected by Mars => unnatural death. Also Rh=> poison. Ve being badhaka => trouble. If both Rh & Ve in male sign => male. Preference has to be given to sign occupied sub lord in determining the sex in case of dilemma.
